When you are on vacation at Disney with the entire family then considering a photo session is just so smart!! The Fisher family caught up with one another. There were 4 families altogether enjoying Disney's Wilderness Lodge for the week. We caught up with the kids in the morning before breakfast for a light filled session. We were able to capture all of the grandchildren/children for the families. We did some individual sessions. Dave, Bryan and I spent a majority of the day with Jon, Julie and their two boys James and Brady. Jon and Dave are really great friends who worked together at Disney during their internship days. Julie wanted a few fun photos and some family portraits for just them so we had some candid times and some posed times. We spent the day in Hollywood Studios which has fabulous backdrops for photo sessions. :)
While we waited in the Tower of Terror line (kind of ironic now that I think of it) - Jon shared his experience with the tornado that hit Norman. He worked in Norman Oklahoma at a bowling alley that was crushed that day. His story was amazing and he credits a weather radio with not only providing him with up to the moment information but really with saving his life. He left the bowling alley and when he returned he found it completely demolished. Jon's car wasn't found for a month afterward. Life is so precious. It was an honor to capture this families' portraits. It was so nice to catch up with them in person after watching their Facebook posts. We cannot wait to spend some more time with them soon!
