Mini session are fun. I enjoy getting ready for them and preparing my clients for some studio time. We had a variety of visitors of all ages to the studio. Studio work is very different for me because we will not be outside which is quite obvious but it really does change the frame and look of the image. I enjoy the restriction to controlled elements such as lighting and backdrop although I will always prefer natural light photography -- maybe. My first video was my little fry in his super man shirt. The thousand faces of my bugger!! He's so silly and I love that he sat on the bench and played to the camera with his Cheerios.
Next to visit was Tanema and her beautiful children. They participate in scouts and are just wonderful bits of delight. :) We had to be sneaky with Tessa as she's not very trusting of me. You can't see it but mom is sitting UNDER the bench adding some tickles. :)
The next set of kiddos were from Grandma Hodel. She wanted to get a photo with all of them at one time so we made that happen for her. What a gorgeous group of kiddos.
Olga, her mom Nina and her son Ralph stopped in for some head shots and photos. I love working with this family because they are up for anything and are familiar with being in front of the camera.
The last family to visit our mini session was the Taylor's. Cheryl is a photo enthusiast and has the two most adorable littles. I love her sweet little ones. We had to incorporate a bribe into the session because Zach was not having it.
I love doing mini sessions because I get to take a lot of photos for my families to enjoy in a short amount of time. I am proficient with getting my images in camera so that makes editing pretty simple. I'm looking forward to the weather cooling down in the fall for us to capture some more images in the studio.
I want to work on some closer head shots with more dramatic lighting techniques that I've picked up this summer. :) Keep an eye out on my facebook page for the announcements.
